Professor Igor Almeida started his jiu jitsu journey back in his home country of Brazil in 2009, with renowned Master, Ze Radiola. Igor moved to Australia in 2015 to develop his skills further with his cousin Professor Bruno Alves, the owner and founder of SJJA. In his years of experience, Igor has competed nationally and internationally, acquiring medals in the biggest competitions in the world. Igor is a 2xWorld medalist and has also collected gold medals at Brazilian nationals, South America Championships, Australian Nationals, Pan Pacific’s and Australian National Pro. Igor has had the pleasure of developing his coaching skills at one of the biggest schools in Australia- SJJA Crows Nest and is the Head Coach and Owner at SJJA Bulimba. Alongside his amazing team, he is excited to be opening SJJA Wynnum on the bayside.
